It might be winter, but here in Costa del Sol we are very fortunate, and our weather is still amazing.
When on holiday, specially if the sun shines, there is no better plan than visiting the tourist attractions of the destination.
In the case of Costa del Sol, one of the most popular ones is the Benalmadena Cable Cars.
The Benalmadena cable car route links Benalmadena Costa with the peak of Monte Calamorro, at approximately 800 metres above sea level. This therefore is one of the highest points in Costa del Sol.
From the peak of the Calamorro you will enjoy stunning views of the coast and, if the weather allows it and it is a clear day, you might even manage to see Sierra Nevada, Gibraltar or the North of Africa.
This is a well worth trip as not many places offer such great views. In February and the service is available daily from 11:00 A.M to 6:00 P.M, the journey lasts about 15 minutes and each cable car takes up to 4 people.
The access to this service is very easy as the cable cars are taken just beside the Benalmadena – Arroyo de la Miel train station, which means that you can get there easily thanks to the train line that connects Fuengirola with other important resorts in Costa del Sol.
